Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her hockey-playing father. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5th of 1998. She has won 12 WTA titles throughout her career, including her Grand Slam of 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is another area where she is a pro. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both won with Elise Mertens. Together with the Belgian tennis star, she also won her the WTA 1000 in Indian Wells as well as Miami in 2019 thus making an appearance in the Sunshine Double. Only four women's pairs have achieved this achievement. On the 23rd August of 2021, she climbed to the second spot in the singles world ranking her best ranking reached again in the month of January in 2023. When she played doubles, she managed to push herself to the top of the list during February of that same year, following the win in Melbourne becoming thus the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov, a former Russian tennis player, was her coach her throughout the 2018 season until the close of this season in 2020. The pair also briefly worked with Dieter Kindlmann from August to September of 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has coached her from the year 2020. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her heroes.
